MBA -Master of Business Administration is a management degree offered by a number of colleges and universities all over the world. This course covers each area of business like Marketing, Finance, Operations, Human Resources, etc..
PGDM – It stands for Post Graduate Diploma in Management, offered by autonomous institutes. Which should be affiliated with the All India Council for Technical Education and approved by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India. This programme also covers each trending plus traditional area of business like Marketing, Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Business Analytics, International Business, Logistics & Supply chain management, Inforamtion Technolgy etc.
Both of the courses are management-specific courses and have two years of duration. The only difference between MBA and PGDM is their curriculum structure. The curriculum structure of an MBA is designed by universities and remains in practice for a few years, but the curriculum structure of the PGDM is industry-specific and changed as per the industry demand. It mostly focuses on soft skills of the students like communication skills, personality development, Interpersonal skills etc.
To get the admission in MBA or PGDM Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in any course with a minimum of 50%, from any recognized college or institute.
To enter in top management colleges in Delhi-NCR candidates should appear in Entrance Exams: CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT, SNAP, CMAT, ATMA.
